Unless I am mistaken, in all menus it is possible to “select” and “deselect” a population except in the celebration menu where it is possible to “select”, “deselect”, but also to “delete the selection”. In the case of deleting the selection you lose all the celebrations you have entered and everything related to them.

Why this possibility? I propose to remove the possibility of “delete the selection” in the celebration menu.
