Today, when you want to register via a Group/Activity registration form, if Enoria recognizes your email address, you will receive a link. But 2 problems have been clearly identified.
2 use cases:
  • “Not very comfortable” case: A person starts the registration on a computer, when they do not have their email box configured on this computer but on their phone. She will receive the link on her smartphone and will therefore have to continue registering on it.
  • “Security problem” case: I can't count the times I've seen emails containing a personalized link (instead of the public form link) transferred between people from different households. Not very secure, which also leads to the creation of people in bad homes. I already had a household with about twenty neighbors...
Proposal: do as with SMS: send a 6-digit code by email.
And why not also a link, only valid for a few minutes.
For information to the Enoria association: because of this, several dioceses strongly advise using SMS (instead of email). This creates costs for the association, which could be avoided...
